T1W6 Journal Writing: Passion for Learning
Hi Everyone, to day I am going to talk about passion for learning as it is the value for the month of February. Passion for learning means that you want to learn, you will always try to find out about things that you don't know. My brother however, does not have any passion for learning, as he always comes home late and always procrastinate. Right now I don't think that I have passion for learning, so from now onwards I will always try to find out about things that I don't know, ask more questions and I will develop a wanting to learn.

Hi Everyone. Long time no see, it's been so long that I'm already Primary six! The main thing I want to talk about is my school's vision, mission and values which my principal talked about on the first day of school.
First of all, my school's vision is: A school of distinction Nuturing Future-Ready Citizens of Character.
My school's mission is: Providing quality education to equip pupils with the values, knowledge and skills for the 21st century.
My school's values are S.P.I.C.E.S.

Term 4 Week 2 : Stress
Hi everyone!
I'm gonna talk about stress as the exams are coming.
Stress is an emotional and physical response to threats from the outside world. Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry. I may be stressed sometimes but I have no idea. I usually cope with stress by playing computer games, watching TV, Taking a nap or stuff like that. Most students say that they have stress because of homework, so my idea i sto ask for the teachers to give less homework but I'm not trying to say that teachers should give us homework.

Reading
Hi everyone I'm gonna talk about reading.
I think that reading is very important as the more you read the mre knowledge you gain, but I don't think its true, because I don't like reading but I'm still quite smart.(I'm not actually smart.....) I usually read only 2 or 1 books in one month. I don't thnk computer games affect my studies because I always play computer =D. I wish that I could recommend a book to all you people out there but I don't like readin so I've nthing to recommend.So, I'm bored then Goodbye.

Term 3 Week 10 : Computer Games

I have'nt posted for a very long time so now I'm back and now I'm gonna talk about computer games.I'm gonna talk in a way that when you read it, its as if you were an italian reading this. Enjoy.

Now, I think that about 70% of the students in the world play computer games because if you play any international games or games where you can chat you will see that ther are many players.I play computer games for about 35 hours a week, and guess what I don't need to wear glasses! I know that people in the world are addicted to computer games but I cannot do anything about it...(Reporter: How can you be so sure??) Well ,hey its their problem I can't fix it!!

Term 3 Week 9 : The Olympic Games
Hi, its the olympics now! So I'm gonna talk about like I talk about every other thing in this very boring blog. Now where was I? Oh yeah! I remember! Now, olympics is originated from greece where it all started. I have watched this year's olympics unfortunately it is only on TV. Iwish I could go to Beijing and watch it. When I grow up I don't think I will be able to make it to the olympics. But I am confidnt that Singapore will stop at nothing to win the olympics!! I think that it is worth it organising the olymipics as it is a very rare event it only comes once in four years.

Term 3 Week 8 : National Day
Hi everybody, we just celebrated National Day last week, so today I'm going to talk about it.
National Day is like an anniversary, we celebrate it on every 9th August because its the day we got independence in 1965.
Since I'm Primary 5 this year I got to see the parade unfortunately it was only a rehersal but the actual thing was even better!
To:People who performed during the parade : Good job guys! The celebration and the fireworks was magnificent!!!
This National Day me and my family celebrated National Day with a feast while watching the parade on television.
I don't think we can do anything to improve it beacause its already wonderful!

Term 3 Week 7 : Copyright
Hi today I'm gonna reflect on copyright.
Copyright is a form of protection provided to the authors of "original works of authorship,"
like literary, dramatic, musical and artistic work.
I think that infringing on the copyright of others is wrong because if a programmer were to create a program the and everyone starts copying the program the programmer would not gain much money.
If we want to use the materials of others, we must first seek the permission from the author.
I have never seen anyone infringing on the copyright of others.

Term 3 Week 6 : Racial Harmony
Today I am going to talk about Racial Harmony.Racial Harmony is about different races coming together to celebrate and not to fight with each other.It is important to have Racial Harmony because if we didn't have Racial Harmony every race would be fighting and causing riots everyday,I think it is because they do not understand what they were talking about. People in my school and in my neighbourhood get along very well even if they are different races they still get along like friends. I have some friends from different races, and usually I get to know them thanks to teacher, because the teacher changes our seats once in a while after that you'll start to talk to the person from different races beside you and after a while, wha'do you know you're all best freinds!

Term 3 Week 5 : Sleepy Kids
Now I'm gonna talk about the 'Sunday Times' reported on 20 July that 'nearly half of the primary school pupils polled say they are not getting enough sleep'. Usually every night I only get to sleep for about 7 h 15 min. And I don't think I have enough sleep as everytime I try to wake up I would slowly fall asleep again, but then I still don't understand how come I can stay awake the whole day untill I'm in the MRT going home. I don't think I have too many things to do everyday as I always sort out my priorities.

Term 3 : Week 4 : Cyberbullying
Hi,Today I'm going to talk about cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is when a child, preteen or teen is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated, embarrassed or otherwise targeted by another child, preteen or teen using the Internet, interactive and digital technologies or mobile phones. The possibilities of why they cyberbully maybe because they are often motivated by anger, revenge or frustration,sometimes they do it for entertainment or because they are bored and have too much time on their hands.Many do it for laughs or to get a reaction and some do it by accident. I have never actually encountered a cyberbully.

The Right Use of 999
Hi, today i'm gonna talk about the right uses of "999" When we are in trouble like someone is robbing you or something like that you should always call "999" We should not call "999" if its not very important or the punishment could be severe and i think that the punishments are enough for them as I don't really want them to suffer to much. The abuse of people calling "999" wastes the polices' precious time to capture real criminals other than going to false alarms.

Netiquette
Hi everyone now i'm going to talk about netiquette. I think netiquette is being polite when you talk with other people in cyberspace. I think that netiquette is very important as if you were to be impolite and scold other people a big fuzz might happen and I don't think that is nice. If my friend were to ask me advice about netiquette I would tell him to respect everybody in cyberspace and if someone were to insult you the best way would be to ignore him/her.

PE Attire
Hi,today I'm gonna talk about us wearing PE attire the whole day.I feel that the advantages of wearing PE attire the whole day is that we don't have to go to the bathroom and change ourselves so that we have more time to spend our recess and I think that there are no disadvantages.I don't think that weaqring PE attire the whole day will affect my personal hygiene.And I support the principal 100% as at my old school nobody had to change out of our attire and I'm used to it already Bye.

Reflection 5 : My Mother
I think Mother's Day is a very special day.On Mother's Day me and my brother thought of having a feast with our mother and we did.Mothers are important to children as they take care and try to give the best in life for them. If there was 1 special thing i would do for my mother is give her a big hug. (Note:if you're thinking EEEWWWW!!!! that means you have never hugged your mother is that true???)

Personal Response 4 : Child Safety Belt in School Bus
I do not ride the school bus so I'm not sure if they stand up in the bus but I hope they do.I agree with Ms Karen Koh that seat belts should be placed in the bus as if you were running about and the bus suddenly stops you may get injured.

Personal Response 3 : Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease
HFMD is a human syndrome caused by a number of enteroviruses in the family Picornaviridae. We can tell if my friend has HFMD or not by feeling for fevers or if you have a sore throat,headache or loss of appetite.We also can check by looking for ulcers in the throat, mouth and tongue or a rash with vesicles on hands, feet and diaper area. The vesicles are typically on the palm side of the hands the sole side of the feet and very characteristic in appearance.
Someone with HFMD helps to prevent the spread of the disease by keeping away from crowded public places such as schools, preschools, play groups, markets and public transport if they show signs of infection.I would advice all children to keep clean,always wash your hands and if you have HFMD,stay away from public paces. Reflection 3: Friendship
Friendship is a distinctively personal relationship that is grounded in a concern on the part of each friend for the welfare of the other, for the other's sake, and that involves some degree of intimacy.I think it is important to have friends because if you have a good friend it helps you to be happy.We can develop friendships by sharing and being polite.I think it is important for Singaporeans to be friendly to other countries as if you treat others friendly,they will treat you friendly too.I really enjoyed the activities during our school International Friendship Day.I enjoyed the part where they hold the fire.I don't think they should not include anything on International Friendship Day celebration next year as it is already good.And here is a website about friendship: http://www.dgreetings.com/friendship/

Personal Response 2: Courtesy
Courtesy is being polite to your friends and family or to anybody.The fable I like is: How The Spirit Of Neighbourliness Began Among Birds.I like it because the crow and the pheasant got along and treated eah other with courtesy.Then,the other birds followed their example of courtesy.A few of my classmates are courteous as they help each other out and show politeness to each other.I think everybody should be courteous and polite to each other wherever you are. :) Bye!
